    About the Gender Equality Principles

The Gender Equality Principles Initiative (GEP) is a groundbreaking public-private collaborative that helps organizations advance gender equality in the workplace through the implementation of the seven comprehensive principles.  The GEP offers an online, confidential self-assessment tool with accompanying resources for organizations to identify, track, and advance their progress toward a more gender equitable workplace

    About the GEP Challenge

The GEP launched the Challenge in April 2013 and unveiled its first round of model practices at a forum in January 2014.  The Challenge takes the next step in advancing equality by inviting Bay Area companies to share a recent or current model practice that exemplifies one of our seven principles.  Model Practice Companies are featured on, highlighted at the Challenge Forum, presented with a Resolution by the City and County of San Francisco, and recognized in the GEP and DOSW materials and publications.
